Department of UNESCO Chair on Ecohydrology and Applied Ecology

Conducting research and didactic classes in the field of: ecohydrology of urban areas, blue-green infrastructure, rainwater management and adaptation of cities to climate change.

Iwona Wagner, Professor at the University of Lodz at the UNESCO Chair of Ecohydrology and Applied Ecology at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection. Expert in the field of ecohydrology, urban ecohydrology, design and application of nature-based solutions and adaptation to climate change. Author of the concept of blue-green infrastructure as critical infrastructure (Nature, 2022). Secretary of the Committee of the Polish Academy of Sciences for the Climate Crisis. Member of the Advisory Team of the European Partnership Water4All, Expert of the EU Mission "Adaptation to Climate Change", member of the Council of the Sendzimir Foundation and the Program Council of the Healthy River Foundation. Co-author and executor of dozens of national and international projectors, co-author of scientific and popular science publications and speeches at conferences in Poland and around the world.
