Małgorzata Jakubowska – Professor of film studies, (University of Lodz, Departament of Film and Audiovisual Media). Philosophyremains an important background for her interests – as a rebellious thought and a form of feeling. She has published essays and books about theory and philosophy of the cinema, film analysis, and film narration including Teoria kina Gillesa Deleuze’a, Kraków 2003 (The Theory of the Cinema by Gilles Deleuze), Żeglowanie po filmie, Kraków 2006 (Sailing on the movie), Laboratorium czasu. Currently, she conducts research on filmmaking as a therapy and film self-portrait.

I love cinema and sailing - both on hot seas (beloved Islands of Tonga, Sicily, the Caribbean) and cold ones (Arctic, Spitsbergen).

I have a cat (Duna) and a cat (Jocker) we watch movies and read books together.
