I am currently involved in:
- research related to forensic entomology - primarily topics related to the influence of local temperature conditions on the development of necrophagous insects and insect succession on corpses. In addition, I publish descriptions of specific cases (so-called "case studies"). I teach forensic entomology in the Forensic Biology course.
- archaeo-entomology - the use of forensic entomology methods in archaeological research, mainly on the coast of Peru
Since 2020, I am a member of the team carrying out the digitization of our Department's natural history collections, through which hard-to-access, often unpublished data on the occurrence of organisms are available through the international GBIF program.
