I am an academic researcher and lecturer, holding a PhD and a habilitation degree in philosophy, as well as an MA in art history. My research focuses on aesthetics, particularly axiological issues in art, everyday life and urban space, as well as the theory of aesthetic experience, and the theory of modern and contemporary art. I also engage in art criticism and explore the intersections of aesthetics, anthropology and performance studies. Interdisciplinarity is a key feature of my research and international collaborations. Since 2014, I have organised the international, interdisciplinary conference 'Aesthetic Energy of the City', which brings together scholars and artists. Since 2014, I have collaborated with the Centre for Urban Research at the University of Barcelona and served on the scientific boards of the journal On the Waterfront and the UB publication series Active Communication. I teach at undergraduate and postgraduate level (in philosophy, art history, Western studies and ethnology), as well as at the Doctoral School of Humanities at the University of Łódź, favouring workshop- and project-based teaching methods. Together with a team of doctoral candidates and students, I run a web portal dedicated to posters: IF Kolekcja. Polski Plakat”. I engage with the external community by working with NGOs, including a long-standing partnership with the Urban Forms Foundation since 2013 involving publications, conferences, debates and consulting on educational, social and artistic initiatives.
