Director of the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź

A graduate of Polish philology at the University of Łódź, journalism at the University of Warsaw, studies in modern art history at the Institute of Art of the Polish Academy of Sciences, and postgraduate studies in European Union Funds at the Faculty of Law of the University of Łódź. She has worked as a trainer in the field of fundraising for cultural activities with the National Centre for Culture and as an expert in the Infrastructure and Environment Operational Programme with the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage and the National Institute of Music and Dance as part of the National Reconstruction Programme.

Since 2006, she has been associated with the Museum of Art in Łódź, where she served as head of the Promotion and Marketing Department and was responsible, among other things, for creating the brand of the museum's new branch – ms2. Subsequently, as an independent manager, she managed interdisciplinary teams at the museum implementing key projects financed from external sources, such as: ‘Culture Coalitions’, ‘Translocal. Museum as Toolbox’, ‘Development of the Art Museum in Łódź Collection’, ‘Promotion of the regional brand – Art Museum in Łódź – modernity and tradition’, etc. In 2016, following a competition, she was appointed by the Mayor of Łódź, Hanna Zdanowska, to the position of director of the Central Museum of Textiles in Łódź for a 5-year term, which was extended for another 6 years in 2021. 

Producer and initiator of projects in the field of cultural education and the promotion of contemporary art, fashion and the history of Łódź, author of numerous texts and academic articles in these fields, member of the International Council of Museums and the Association of Polish Museum Professionals. She is a member of the Council of the Museum of the City of Łódź (since 2022), where she serves as chairwoman, the Business Council at the Faculty of Materials Science and Textile Design at the Łódź University of Technology, the Council of Partners of the Faculty of Philosophy and History at the University of Łódź, representing the museum, and the Programme Council of the artistic and scientific magazine ‘Powidoki’ published by the Academy of Fine Arts in Łódź and the Congress of Urban Regeneration. In 2024, she was appointed by Bartłomiej Sienkiewicz, Minister of Culture and National Heritage, to the Council for Museums and National Memorial Sites. She is also the chair of the programme council for the 16th, 17th and 18th editions of the International Triennial of Tapestry.

She has been awarded the honorary badge ‘Meritorious for Polish Culture’, the honorary Medal of the 600th Anniversary of the City of Łódź ‘for activities for the development of Łódź, awarded on the occasion of the city's jubilee’ and the decoration ‘For Merits to the City of Łódź’.
