The event, which a part of the university's 80th anniversary celebrations, was addressed to students with disabilities and those with special needs. The camp participants sailed the Vistula Lagoon and the Baltic Sea, gaining practical sailing skills under the guidance of experienced instructors – University of Lodz employees.
The programme of the camp also included trips to picturesque towns, including Frombork, where participants had an opportunity to visit historical sites and learn about the region's history. In the evenings, bonfires, games, and team-building activities were organised, fostering relationships and strengthening the sense of community. Accommodation on yachts, shared meals, and full organisational support ensured that each participant could fully enjoy this adventure, regardless of their individual needs.
The camp was completely free – the organisers provided transportation, meals, insurance and care.
It was not only a form of active recreation, but also an expression of the university's social responsibility and its commitment to building an inclusive academic environment.
