The inauguration of the academic year 2026/2027 will open with an address by Prof. Milenia Fiedler, Rector of the Lodz Film School. During the ceremony, the Łódzkie Eureka statuettes will be presented.
The inaugural lecture, entitled "Możliwe – niemożliwe. Droga artysty” [Possible – Impossible. The Artist’s Journey], will be delivered by Prof. Zygmunt Krauze, an outstanding composer and pianist, honorary doctor of the National University of Music in Bucharest and the Academy of Music in Lodz. The speaker will introduce participants to his concept of unistic music, inspired by the work of Władysław Strzemiński.
The joint ceremony will conclude with a screening of the student film "Tytuł się jeszcze przyśni” [The Title Will Come in a Dream] (2025), directed by Klaudia Fortuniak, a student of the Lodz Film School. The film was produced under the artistic supervision of Jan Komasa.
We particularly invite members of the Senate of the University of Lodz, students, doctoral school participants, members of the University Council, directors of doctoral schools, and the Rector’s Representatives of the University of Lodz to attend the ceremony.
