Award of the State Labour Inspection for the UniLodz Social Labour Inspector

The competition is to distinguish and promote social labour inspectors who, through the implementation of their statutory duties, contribute to the improvement of safety conditions in workplaces and the protection of workers' rights.

This is yet another distinction for Dr Barbara Krawczyk, who in one of the previous editions took third place among the most active social inspectors in the region of Lodz.

From the first days of taking over the function of Social Labour Inspector at the University of Lodz, Dr Barbara Krawczyk has been actively carrying out her tasks, including participating in technical reviews of building conditions from the perspective of occupational health and safety, updating the assessment of occupational risk at work stations, or analysing the causes of accidents. She is also constantly expanding her knowledge by taking part in training courses, meetings, and, what should be particularly underlined, obtaining a diploma of graduation in the field of occupational health and safety. In addition, her supra-company activity, which is based on cooperation with representatives of the Social Labour Inspection from other companies, provides invaluable assistance in developing skills and competences related to the supervision of working conditions. Such activity creates space for joint action to eliminate threats through the exchange of knowledge, experience and good practices. The information and skills acquired in this way contribute to the creation of a safe and friendly working environment at our university.
