CEIN Members at the “Resilient Lower Silesia” Congress

More than 120 community activists and 80 organisations from across Lower Silesia joined forces to find an answer to the question of how to survive in an unstable world—and among them were two CEIN members: Dr hab. Katarzyna Zajda, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, and Dr Agnieszka Michalska-Żyła.

A unique Congress and workshop titled “Resilient Lower Silesia” took place at the Environmental Education Center of the Karkonosze National Park. The event was organised by the Local Action Group “Partnerstwo Ducha Gór” and the Lower Silesian Network of LAG Partnerships, with whom the Centre of Social Innovation of the University of Lodz collaborates in implementing the Local Social Resilience System project: Local S.O.S.

The Congress discussions revolved around three main themes:

  • disinformation as a trap for our minds
  • the climate crisis
  • the power of relationships and mutual support

It was an extremely important and fruitful meeting.
