The University of Lodz project entitled "University Diversity" took the third place in the competition for the best university marketing idea. The award is presented by the European Association of communication professionals in Higher Education - “European Universities Public Relations and Information Officers” (EUPRIO)

The project was appreciated primarily for the achievement of the following goals: voluntary involvement of students and employees of the university, and integration of the academic community. The obtained award is a sign of high activity and presence pf the University of Lodz in the international community of universities. It also proves professionalism and commitment of our university employees.

The Euprio Awards is awarded annually at an international conference by specialists in the public relations and marketing industry. The European Association of communication professionals in Higher Education - EUPRIO was founded in the 1980s with the support of officials of the then European Communities. The organisation deals mainly with supporting and initiating cooperation between European higher education institutions in the field of communication and promotion, as well as representing the interests of university press offices, new media, PR and marketing in the field of higher education policy.

The University Diversity project was established and implemented with the support of dr Agata Rudnicka Reichel from the Faculty of Management of the University of Lodz, the Promotion Centre of the University of Lodz and the  International Relations Office of the University of Lodz. It has been inspired by the rapidly growing number of international students of the University of Lodz - over 2,000 international students representing more than 95 nationalities.

The project assumed various activities throughout the year, aiming primarily at integrating of the entire academic community of our university, regardless of the country of origin, as well as teaching the academic community and the inhabitants of Lodz the attitude of respect for diversity and intercultural communication.

The most important undertakings that were held during the last academic year were: Poster exhibition with images of international students, exhibited continuously for several months outside the university (including at the Manufaktura Shopping Centre and the City Hall), Christmas Guest - students and employees of the University of Lodz invited international students of the University of Lodz to their homes to spend one of the holiday days together, International Cook Book of the University of Lodz - international students of the University of Lodz were invited to share the recipes for traditional dishes, characteristic of the spring season in their home countries. The end of the campaign was cooking together in a professional cooking studio and a cook book with international recipes.

Let us remind you that this is not the first distinction for our university in the Euprio Awards competition. Two years ago, the Smart Uni application, an interactive guide around the university and the city, addressed to the international students of the University of Lodz, was awarded.
