Weź udział w Open Science Summer

Sessions and workshops, lively discussions and learning from each other – the upcoming event of the UNIC Alliance called "Open Science Summer" will provide expert knowledge and practical skills to raise awareness on the concept of Open Science. The event is addressed to all academic employees of the university, with particular emphasis on novice researchers.

Open Science Summer combines expert discussions and qualification workshops. Doctoral researchers and postdocs will discuss the impact of Open Science – for their research but also for society. Experts of all UNIC universities will share their knowledge and experience on the most important aspects of Open Science. The aim of the initiative is to raise awareness among the early career researchers regarding a comprehensive and recent understanding of Open Science and how to integrate Open Science techniques into their own research. 

Open Science Summer will be held online, in English on the following dates: 

  • 06 June 2024 Expert Panel Discussion: "Open Science: What, Why and Why for Me?" (10:30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., UTC+2) 
  • 11 June 2024 Expert Insights: "Open Access Publications" (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., UTC+2) 
  • 13 June 2024 Expert Insights: "Open Data" (10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., UTC+2) 
  • 20 June 2024 Workshop: "Open Innovation" (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., UTC+2) 
  • 27 June 2024 Workshop: "Science Communication & Public Engagement" (9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., UTC+2) 
  • 28 June 2024 Expert Panel Discussion Open Science: "Open Science and My Research Career" – (10.30 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., UTC+2)

Please note that while the workshops have participant limit based on their intensive working character, the panel discussions are open for all. The participation is free of charge. 

Documentation of Participation 
Participation in individual activities will be documented by confirmations of participation with date and time. The participation in all events and 1 workshop will be documented in a comprehensive Open Science Certificate of the alliance.
