Zawodnicy judo kata z AZS Łódź znowu na podium

Representatives of the AZS Lodz have won the Kata European Judo Championships in Italy, the Grand Prix Italia and the Polish Cup.

Pordenone European Kata Tournament and Grand Prix Italia were held on 23 and 24 March in Italy. Both tournaments gathered over 250 players from 13 European countries.
 
Anna Jagiełło and Leszek Piąstka, representing Academic Sports Club of the University of Lodz and employees of the Physical Education and Sports Centre of the University of Lodz, stood on the podium, winning the bronze medal in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu competition in the senior category.
 
A week earlier, the Polish Cup was held in Radom, in which Anna Jagiełło and Leszek Piąstka took first place.
 
The European Cup, which will be held in Poland for the first time, will be another opportunity to test the skills of judokas from Lodz. The competition is scheduled for 10 May and i s taking place in Radom.
 
European Championships, which will be held in Sarajevo in mid-June are the most important event that the competitors are preparing for in this half-year. Taking into account the previous successes, the employees of the Physical Education and Sports Centre of the University of Lodz can be sure of their place in the Polish National Team.
