The programme focused on contemporary global challenges examined from interdisciplinary perspectives. Participants took part in lectures, workshops and collaborative activities that encouraged the exchange of ideas and discussions on issues related to markets, empires and the environment.

The event was organised by the Faculty of International and Political Studies and the Faculty of Economics and Sociology at the University of Lodz. The programme also provided an opportunity to strengthen international cooperation and experience the academic and cultural life of Lodz.

The programme was prepared by an interdisciplinary team consisting of Agata Włodarska-Frykowska, Joanna Stawska and Ewa Feder-Sempach.
