New Project Financed by the International Visegrad Fund Is Launching at the UniLodz Centre of Migration Studies

From December 2025 to May 2027, the team of the Centre of Migration Studies at the University of Lodz will implement the project "V4-MigStrat – From Crisis to Coordination? V4 Migration Strategies and Scenarios", funded by the International Visegrad Fund (project no. 22520302).

The project objectives:

  1. to conduct comparative analyses of public policies and civil society responses at the national, regional and local levels in the Visegrad Group (V4) countries – the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Poland and Hungary – in the context of forced migration from Ukraine;
  2. to develop scenarios for further migration flows to the V4 countries, particularly from Eastern Europe and Asia,
  3. to propose recommendations for migration and integration management for key stakeholders.

The project partners include: 

• Mendel University in Brno, the Czech Republic (Coordinator),
• University of Lodz,
• Institute of Economic Research of the Slovak Academy of Sciences, Slovakia,
• Kopint Foundation for Economic Research, Hungary.
