Prof. Stanisław Goźdź-Roszkowski członkiem międzynarodowego projektu CIRCLE

Prof. Stanisław Goźdź-Roszkowski (Department of Specialised Languages and Intercultural Communication, University of Lodz) has become a member of the research team in the international project entitled "Circulation and dissemination of populist ideas of law and justice across languages, communities and genres" (CIRCLE).

Prof. Stanisław Goźdź-Roszkowski

The objective of CIRCLE is to investigate the rhetoric of populism and to identify the linguistic representation of populist ideas of law and justice across languages, communities, and genres. The project members will look at the phenomenon under study from various perspectives. They will try to answer the following questions: what ensures the effectiveness of populist ideas?, does the language of populism circulate across national legal systems?, how do legal actors react rhetorically to populist ideas? and is it possible to create a non-populist popular language in defense of the liberal democratic order based on the rule of law?

The project obtained funding from the Independent Research Fund Denmark for the years 2023-2026. Prof. Anne Lisa Kjaer from the Faculty of Law at the University of Copenhagen is the principal Investigator (PI) of the project.
