Profesor Joseph Halevi Horowitz Weiler – Wykład Mistrzowski

Is a non-Christian Europe possible? This question will be answered by Professor Joseph Halevi Horowitz Weiler, Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Lodz. The Master’s Lecture will be held on Wednesday, 15 May of the current year at 7:00 p.m. at the Assembly Hall of the Higher Theological Seminary in Lodz.

 

Prof. Joseph Halevi Horowitz Weiler is a lawyer, an outstanding specialist in the field of constitutional, international and EU law and the Doctor Honoris Causa of the University of Lodz. He served as President of the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence in the years 2013-2016. He is currently a Professor at New York University. He has participated in WTO and NAFTA arbitration panels, and the work on the text of the EP Declaration of Human Rights. He is a member of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences and the Editor-in-chief of two international journals: European Journal of International Law and International Journal of Constitutional Law.

Joseph H. H. Weiler was awarded the title of Doctor Honoris Causa by the University of Lodz during the formal sitting of the Senate of the University of Lodz inaugurating the new academic year 2022/23. That is when he delivered an inaugural lecture entitled 'Will the Judge of the Whole Earth Himself Not do Justice (Gen:18:25) - The Copernican Moment in the Evolution of Justice'.
