Registration of DS applications in USOSweb
Registration of applications for a place takes place only via USOSweb after gaining access to the system.
We do not require a paper version of the application for a place in the dormitory, registered in the USOSweb system.
Applying for a dormitory
Applying for a dormitory is available in the tab: for all → applications → application for a dormitory
Who can apply for a student dormitory, hereinafter referred to as DS:
- persons admitted to first-, second-, third-cycle and long-cycle studies at the University of Lodz (in the case of foreigners admitted to studies, information about the possibility of applying for a place in the University of Lodz is provided by the International Relations Office of the University of Lodz,
- students/doctoral students in the later years of doctoral school, actively enrolled in the 2025/2025 academic year (with Polish and foreign citizenship),
- students/ of the University of Lodz's doctoral schools who failed to complete their dormitory application registration in USOSweb during the first application round. (application status – completed, corrected, withdrawn for correction).
Only applications that are complete and correctly registered in the USOSweb system (application ready for consideration) will be considered.
Applying for a room for a parent with a child, a single room
Students applying for a room for a parent with a child - Appendix No. 6 or a single room - Appendix No. 7 attach the document as a supplement to the application for a DS registered in the USOSweb system.
Applications will be considered by the University Committee for Allocating Places in the Dormitory by the end of September (after the 4th round is closed), and information in this regard will be provided directly to the Dormitory administration after the applications have been considered.
Schedule
Second round
- 12 - 31.08.2025 – registration of applications,
- 01 - 05.09.2025 – verification of applications and issuance of a decision on the allocation of a place in the dormitory,
- 06 – 09.09.2025 – persons who have received a positive decision to grant a dormitory confirm their reservation in USOSweb.
Third round
- 06 - 15.09.2025 – registration of applications,
- 16 - 19.09.2025 – verification of applications and issuance of a decision on the allocation of a place in the dormitory,
- 20-22.09.2025 – persons who have received a positive decision to grant a dormitory confirm their reservation in USOSweb.
IV round
- 20 - 24.09.2025 - registration of applications,
- 25-27.09.2025 – verification of applications and issuance of a decision on the allocation of a place in the dormitory,
- 28 - 30.09.2025 – persons who have received a positive decision to grant a dormitory confirm their reservation in USOSweb.
V round
01 - 04.10.2025 – registration of applications
05-07.10.2025 – verification of applications and issuance of a decision on granting a place in the dormitory.
Date of accommodation: referral to the dormitory is valid until 5 October, applies to applications approved in rounds I-IV
Applications considered from the 5th round - referral to the dormitory is valid for 7 days from the date of the decision to grant a place by the University committee for awarding places in the dormitory.
Information about the DS granted
Information about the granted SD will be published in USOSweb - the status of the application changes from registered → ready for consideration → processed each time → see the details of the application.
Maintaining a seat reservation in a dormitory is valid provided that:
- confirmation of the intention to stay in the dormitory via the USOSweb system on the person's individual account,
- accommodation by October 5 this year.
Resignation from the allocated place
In the event of resignation from the allocated place, the reception desk of the allocated SD must be immediately informed by e-mail or phone.
The fee for accommodation in the dormitory is paid by the resident by the 26th of each month to his/her individual bank account number assigned in the USOSweb system.
Awarding a place in UL student dormitories after the closure of the last 5th round in USOSweb
Students/PhD candidates submit an application for a place in the dormitory in paper form - Appendix No. 3.
A scan of the completed and personally signed application for a place in the dormitory should be delivered to the headquarters: Osiedle Akademickie, 1 Lumumby Street, 90-927 Łódź or sent by e-mail to the following address: osiedle@uni.lodz.pl
In the case of considered applications for a place in the UL dormitory, information about the decision of the University Committee for granting places in the UL dormitory is sent to the e-mail address of the student/doctoral candidate created in the university domain.
Applying for a change of place in the Student Residence Hall after the closure of the last 5th round in USOSweb
Residents of dormitories can apply for a change of place by submitting an application for a change in paper form - Appendix No. 4.
A scan of the completed and personally signed application in paper version for a change of place in the dormitory should be delivered to the headquarters: Osiedle Akademickie, 1 Lumumby Street, 90-927 Łódź or sent by e-mail to the following address: osiedle@uni.lodz.pl
Deadline for submitting applications for a change of place: from October 13, 2025, decisions will be made by the end of October 2025.
Information about the positive decision of the UK-DS is sent directly to the DS administration.
A positive decision on the change of place obliges the resident of the DS to relocate to the newly selected DS within 7 days from the date of granting the exchange.
In the event of a refusal to grant a DS change due to the lack of vacancies, the application for a seat change is considered at two subsequent committee meetings.
