The University of Lodz has made 7,914 places available this year across 88 study programmes offered within full-time (daytime) BA studies and uniform Master's studies. What does the summary of the first round of admissions look like?
- Total number of candidates: 14,513 (BA studies: 12,386; uniform Master's studies: 3,903)
- Total number of submitted applications: 28,728 (BA studies: 24,353; uniform Master's studies: 4,416)
Among the applicants, there are 1,665 applications from international candidates for study programmes taught in Polish (1,095) and English (570).
The most popular study programmes were:
- Psychology – 12.9 candidates per place
- Forensic Biology – 12.2 candidates per place
- Marketing – 11 candidates per place
- Speech and Language Therapy – 10.7 candidates per place
- English Philology – 10.2 candidates per place
- Management – 10 candidates per place
- International Relations – 9.6 candidates per place
- National Security – 9.1 candidates per place
- Business Management – 9.1 candidates per place
- Digital Communication and Social Media for Management – 7.9 candidates per place
Other study programmes that also attracted great interest included: Journalism, Media and Communication Design (7.8 candidates per place), Sociology (7.7 candidates per place), Cultural Studies (7.4 candidates per place), Forensic Chemistry and Toxicology (7.4 candidates per place), as well as Digitalisation and Data Management in Business (7.2 candidates per place).
What Happens Next?
- By 17 July, qualification results (except for study programmes that require entrance examinations) will be published in candidates' individual accounts within the admissions system.
- Between 18 and 22 July, candidates who have been qualified for admission must submit the required paper documents. The list of required documents, as well as the place and deadline for submission, can be found in the descriptions of individual study programmes on the website rekrutacja.uni.lodz.pl under the “Offer” tab.
- Candidates may also send their documents by post (the postmark date of 22 July at the latest will be recognised) or submit them through a third party without any written authorisation.
- IMPORTANT: Candidates who were not qualified because of an insufficient number of points should carefully monitor their account in the IRK admissions system until 28 July, as well as regularly check their email and answer calls from University telephone numbers. During this period, the ranking list may be extended, meaning that admission thresholds may be lowered and additional candidates may be qualified. Any change of status requires the submission of all required documents within the deadline set by the relevant admissions subcommittee.
- All qualified candidates who submit a complete set of required paper documents to the appropriate location within the designated deadline will be admitted to the University of Lodz.
- The list of candidates admitted during the first round will be announced by 30 July.
- There is more good news! To become a University of Lodz student on 1 October, all that remains is to take the Oath at the end of September. This is the final step towards officially joining the University of Lodz community.
