UniLodz Co-Organises Event Celebrating 30 Years of the European Commission’s Mobility Programme

We actively participate in shaping European scientific cooperation and supporting research mobility. As co-creators of initiatives strengthening the internationalisation of science and the development of the European Research Area, we engage in activities that build cooperation networks between universities, research institutions and organisations supporting science across Europe.

The team participating in MSCA at 30: Research Mobility & Bridging Gaps Across Europe

An international event titled "MSCA at 30: Research Mobility & Bridging Gaps Across Europe” dedicated to the future of the Marie Skłodowska-Curie Actions (MSCA) programme, research mobility and the development of the European Research Area in the context of work on the EU’s 10th Framework Programme was held in Brussels on 21 May 2026.

The meeting brought together representatives of the European Commission, the European Parliament, organisations supporting science, research institutions, universities and the Research Management and Administration (RMA) community from across Europe. The programme included both strategic debates on the future of the MSCA programme and practical sessions focusing on the mobility of researchers, institutional capacity building, intersectoral cooperation and administrative support for international projects.

UniLodz among co-organisers

The event was co-organised by the NAWA-MSCA Central Poland Contact Point, established by experts from the Project Support Centre of the University of Lodz in cooperation with experts from the Scientific Excellence Office of the Polish Academy of Sciences. The University of Lodz was represented by: Dr Przemysław Ciborek, Ewelina Wronka and Dr Hanna Zajączkowska.

The local organisers of the event included the PolSCA PAS Office in Brussels and the Marie Curie Alumni Association (MCAA) Chapters Benelux, Poland and Hungary. Additional organisational support was provided by European offices: KOWI – Kooperationsstelle EU der Wissenschaftsorganisationen (Germany), Neth-ER (the Netherlands) and the NRDIO Office Brussels (Hungary).
