Sectoral alignment – activating potential
The inauguration of the event took place on Monday, 11 March at the Faculty of Mathematics and Computer Science of the University of Lodz. On this day, the students had the opportunity to get familiar with career development opportunities prepared by companies operating in the new technology industries – IT & Data Science.
The meeting at the Faculty of Economics and Sociology took place the following day. During the event recruiters from the TSL, Finance and IT industries talked about their recruitment processes and career paths. The selection and strong matching of exhibitors to the faculty's educational profile is the main idea behind the entire WorkShow initiative. Apart from the perfect synchronisation of profiles and thematic areas with current employers, the student community also had the opportunity to take advantage of career consultations, including discussing their application documents and talking about good practices in creating CVs.
There were also workshops during which instructors from the Career Office of the University of Lodz provided participants with a set of recruitment tips and hints on effective preparation for a job interview.
Workshops, competitions and attractions
During the event, its participants could also expect many attractions and competitions, during which they could win impressive prizes and gadgets. Exhibitors prepared logic games, quizzes and knowledge tests for their interlocutors, which in an interesting and fun way allowed visitors to get familiar not only with the business profile of a given company, but also to talk about the benefits prepared for future employees and highlight current recruitment processes.
The reflexometer available at the stand of the Career Office of the University of Lodz was also very popular. During the challenge, players had a chance to win university gadgets and other prizes.
WorkShow 2024 – continuation at other faculties of UniLodz
The inauguration of the event is behind us, and there are three more exciting meetings with employers ahead of us – in the coming days, the event will be held at other faculties of the University of Lodz:
- 14 March at the Faculty of Philology (BPO & COMMUNICATION)
- 18 March at the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection (BIOTECH, SCIENCE & LABS)
- 20 March at the Faculty of Law and Administration (LAW AND ADMINISTRATION)
