Researcher and lecturer Scope of duties: Conducting research on the history of Poland after 1945. Managing the work of the Department of Polish and World History after 1945 - didactic, scientific, organizational matters

Education 1984–1989: University of Lodz – studies; master of Science in History

- 1997 doctor of Humanities

- 2009 habilitation in Humanities

Professional career

- since 1989 employee of the University of Lodz

- 2000–2006 employee of the Institute of National Remembrance, Lodz Branch

In my research I address the following issues:

- Polish biography of the 20th century

- Relations between power and society in Poland 1944–1989, with particular emphasis on workers' and students' strikes

- Activities of the security apparatus in Poland 1944–1989, with particular emphasis on the issue of training personnel for the "security service"

- The policy of the Polish People's Republic towards youth

- Post-war history of Lodz and the region, especially the period of the Polish People's Republic
