Paweł Pietrzyk PhD, is a graduate of the Faculty of Philosophy and History.
He has been associated with the State Archives since the beginning of his career in public administration. He has worked at the State Archives in Łódź, the Head Office of State Archives, and the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage.
He serves as Chairman of the Polish National Committee of the UNESCO Memory of the World Programme, Editor-in-Chief of the 'Archeion' journal, and a member of the editorial board of Polish Diplomatic Documents and the Committee of Historical Sciences of the Polish Academy of Sciences. He is also a member of the Council of the Polish History Museum for the 2024–2028 term.
A Kosciuszko Foundation fellow in New York, he was awarded the 'Merentibus' Medal by the Józef Piłsudski Institute of America. He is actively involved in cooperation with and support for emigré institutions in the US, the UK, and Australia.
He collaborates with the Lech Kaczyński National School of Public Administration in Warsaw, teaching records management in public administration and serving as a mentor.
