Inaugural Meeting of the DynaMF – Dynamic Microbial Fertilizers Consortium Is Behind Us!

DynaMF – Dynamic Microbial Fertilizers is a new, long-term consortium initiative focused on the development of innovative microbial solutions for agriculture. Its goal is to create dynamic microbial fertilizers that support soil health, reduce dependence on chemical inputs and increase the resilience of food systems to modern environmental challenges.

The inaugural meeting of the DynaMF consortium took place at the the Masurian Center for Biodiversity and Nature Education (KUMAK) at the University of Warsaw in early March 2026. Our faculty was represented by dr hab. Sylwia Różalska, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz (Department of Industrial Microbiology and Biotechnology), whose work includes two projects funded by the National Science Centre (NCN) in the OPUS competition, carried out in collaboration with Prof. Magdalena Frąc from the Institute of Agrophysics, Polish Academy of Sciences in Lublin:

  • "Mechanizmy warunkujące przydatność wybranych gatunków grzybów entomopatogennych w biokontroli – podejście multiomiczne" [Mechanisms Determining the Suitability of Selected Entomopathogenic Fungi Species in Biocontrol – A Multiomic Approach]
  • "Interakcje mikrolistków i mikrobiomów jako funkcjonalne regulatory ich jakości, odporności i trwałości – studium przypadku dla wybranych ziół (kolendra, bazylia) i warzyw (rzodkiewka, burak) w odpowiedzi na zmiany klimatu" [Microleaflet-Microbiome Interactions as Functional Regulators of Their Quality, Resistance, and Durability – A Case Study for Selected Herbs (Coriander, Basil) and Vegetables (Radish, Beetroot) in Response to Climate Change]

The main objectives of the consortium, including research directions, collaboration models between partners, quality standards and certification for microbiological solutions, as well as opportunities for future publications and international initiatives were discussed during the event.

Research institutions from Poland and abroad participated in the inauguration, creating an interdisciplinary environment ready to develop modern microbiological technologies with significant application potential.

This is just the beginning, but the DynaMF initiative is already shaping up to be an important platform for scientific, implementation and commercialisation collaboration. We are proud to be a part of this project.
