The goal of the Council is to develop a vision and strategic directions for the development of our voivodeship and to advise the Lodz Voivodeship Board on entrepreneurship development. The Lodz Province Economic Council will provide business with practical experience as well as universities with knowledge and research.

Please don't think of universities, or the University of Lodz, in stereotypical terms. We are a university open to various initiatives

– said the University of Lodz Rector, Prof. dr hab. Rafał Matera.

The first meeting of the council members was held on Monday, 7 July of the current year, in the unique setting of the Herbst Palace Museum in Lodz, where they received their appointments and congratulations from Joanna Skrzydlewska, Marshal of the Voivodeship, and Deputy Marshal Piotr Wojtysiak. During the meeting, the council elected its Chair, Ferdynand Gacki, Director of Innovation and Development at Ceramika Paradyż, and his deputies, Tomasz Sadzyński, President of the Lodz Special Economic Zone, and Professor Krzysztof Jóźwik, Rector of the Lodz University of Technology.

The opportunity to cooperate with experienced entrepreneurs, representatives of business environment institutions and universities will certainly bring many benefits – both for the UniLodz academic community and the entire Lodz Voivodeship!
