MATERIAL SUPPORT/COLLECTIONS

The community of the University of Lodz is already organising collections of necessary things for people in Ukraine. One of such actions will be carried out by the Students’ Government of the Institute of Russian Studies, University of Lodz. A parallel action will also be conducted by the Faculty of Geographical Sciences. It is worth remembering that the collected gifts, as in the case of the collection at the Faculty of Philology, should be ultimately transferred to the Lodz City Hall. The Lodz City Hall website also clearly lists which items should be given.

The UL Academic Support Centre also manages and coordinates the collection of items that will be donated to people in need in Ukraine through the Lodz City Hall.
We are collecting:
- thermal blankets, sleeping bags, bed linen, mattresses (packed in foil),
- cleaning supplies, baby diapers, adult diapers, panty liners, towels, hairbrushes, toothbrushes, paper towels,
- plates, cutlery (biodegradable preferred, silicone or plastic),
- masks and antiseptics,
- bottled water,
- instant and ready-made food, pasta, dried fruit, energy bars, cereal,
- matches, batteries, flashlights, candles,
- medical equipment kits.

The items can be brought to the Academic Support Centre of the University of Lodz (ul. Pomorska 152) from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. from Monday to Friday.

We are acting on an on-going basis

The authorities and units of the University of Lodz are constantly monitoring the situation at the university and check what additional help may be useful. We are aware of the fact that the situation is dynamic and we are cooperating with the local government authorities and the Governor of the Lodz voivodeship. Courage, commitment, respect – these are the values of the University of Lodz, which in the current situation are particularly important for us. Let's support each other!
