In his first match at the current 138th edition of this oldest tournament in the world, he defeated the higher-ranked Matteo Berrettini (No. 32 in the ATP rankings) 3-2. These victories made the Pole advance from No. 109 to No. 96 in the live ATP rankings, and another victory will result in an even bigger jump. Majchrzak is the only Polish representative in this year's tournament. We wish him many more victories!

Kamil Majchrzak was born in Piotrków Trybunalski in 1996. He studied Physical and Health Education at the Faculty of Educational Sciences, University of Lodz.

The Wimbledon tournament has been played since 1877 as the English Championships. It takes place annually at the turn of June and July. It is considered a Grand Slam tournament and the unofficial world grass court championship.
