WORKSHOPS AND TRAINING ON NON-DISCRIMINATION AND DIVERSITY MANAGEMENT

TRAINING FOR AN OPEN, DIVERSE AND SAFE WORK ENVIRONMENT

University of Lodz is a community based on openness, respect and diversity. We believe that full personal and professional development is possible only in an inclusive and fair academic atmosphere.  Therefore, as part of the project “UniLodz – a discrimination-free zone” we are carrying out a series of training courses that support building a culture of mutual understanding, equal treatment and safe cooperation.

The training covers five key areas that have been identified as particularly important in the context of the needs of our community and the current challenges of the university. Participants have the opportunity to deepen their knowledge in the areas of multiculturalism and intercultural communication, conflict resolution, responding to inappropriate behaviour, and also learn the basics of diversity, equality, and inclusion (DEI).

The aim of the activities is to strengthen the competences of the University of Lodz community in the area of counteracting discrimination, building relationships based on trust and supporting diversity as a value.

CHOOSE TRAINING FOR YOURSELF

How to talk to create an environment that promotes openness and mutual understanding? This training teaches us how to avoid negative projections, build trust and have honest conversations about what is important to us. Those attending the training will also learn the principles of reciprocity and modelling relationships at work.

Schedule

The training teaches how to recognize and respond to behaviour that crosses boundaries – such as mobbing, harassment or discrimination. It also discusses the difficulties associated with intervention, the reluctance to respond and ways of coping with the emotions that accompany such situations.

Schedule

How to respond when tensions arise? The training offers tools for constructive response to difficult situations, presents relationship-building styles and ways of conducting negotiations based on cooperation and respect.

Schedule

Training devoted to understanding the differences between the concepts of multi-, inter- and transculturality.
