I am a psychologist, researcher, academic teacher, and trainer specializing in work and organizational psychology. In my professional work, I combine research and teaching with the practical application of psychological knowledge in the workplace.
My research interests focus on human functioning in the workplace, with particular emphasis on personal resources, well-being, and the factors that contribute to effective work functioning. My research primarily explores psychological capital (PsyCap), job crafting, psychosocial job resources and demands, work engagement and exhaustion, and job performance. I am also interested in psychological safety, meaningful work, team functioning, intergenerational collaboration, and processes occurring within organizations undergoing change.
Positive psychology, particularly its application to the workplace, is an important perspective in my research. I focus not only on occupational risk factors and job demands, but also on the resources and mechanisms that support effective functioning, development, and well-being at work. My research draws, among others, on the concept of psychological capital and the Job Demands–Resources (JD-R) model.
Another area of my research interests concerns women’s experiences in the workplace and their career development. I am interested in the factors shaping women’s functioning across different professional and life roles, the resources that support their development, and the challenges they encounter in the contemporary labour market.
I am the author and co-author of scientific publications in the fields of work and organizational psychology and positive psychology. I co-authored the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (KKaPsy) and the Polish adaptation of the Work Role Performance Questionnaire (WRPQ), both used in research on functioning in the workplace. My publications address topics including psychological capital, occupational well-being, job performance, work-related values and expectations, and functioning within organizations. I am also a co-author of the monograph Safety Management: Psychological Aspects of Implementing Organizational Change , which explores the psychological aspects of safety and change management in organizations.
I participate in national and international research and development projects. I have been involved in the international GIG-OSH project and in research collaboration with Karolinska Institutet. I have also delivered training as part of the RESET project and the “UniLodz – Strefa Wolna od Dyskryminacji” (“UniLodz – Discrimination-Free Zone”) project. I particularly value initiatives that bridge scientific knowledge and practice and respond to the real-world needs of individuals, teams, and organizations.
Academic teaching is an important part of my work. I currently teach and have previously taught courses including organizational and management psychology, psychology of conflict and negotiation, psychological research design, career counselling, and introduction to psychology. In my work with students, I place particular emphasis on connecting theoretical knowledge and research evidence with their practical applications. I am the academic supervisor of the PROFIL Student Career Office Scientific Association and the Psychological Testing Laboratory at the Institute of Psychology, University of Lodz.
Alongside my academic work, I have been involved in training and professional development since 2016. I am a co-owner of the training company Psycho7 and work with organizations across different sectors. I design and deliver training courses, workshops, webinars, and development programmes for employees, teams, and management staff. My professional practice covers areas including well-being and psychological health at work, stress and work overload, burnout prevention, communication and conflict, collaboration, emotion regulation, psychological safety, intergenerational collaboration, and the development of personal and professional resources.
Bridging research and practice is particularly important to me. I draw on my experience of working with organizations in my research and teaching, while seeking to translate scientific knowledge into evidence-based solutions that address the real-world challenges faced by individuals, teams, and organizations.
I am a member of the Polish Positive Psychology Association and the Polish Association of Organizational Psychology.
I am particularly interested in what helps people function effectively and thrive at work – the resources that support them, the factors that foster well-being and engagement, and the ways in which people can actively shape their work and professional development. My interests include positive psychology, psychological capital, job crafting, psychological safety, and team functioning. I am also interested in intergenerational collaboration, as well as women’s experiences in the workplace and their career development.
Among my key academic and professional achievements, I include the co-authorship of the Psychological Capital Questionnaire (KKaPsy) and the Polish adaptation of the Work Role Performance Questionnaire (WRPQ), as well as the co-authorship of the monograph Safety Management: Psychological Aspects of Implementing Organizational Change , published by CRC Press (Taylor & Francis Group).
I am the author and co-author of scientific publications in the fields of work and organizational psychology and positive psychology. I regularly present my research at national and international scientific conferences.
I was a member of the international GIG-OSH project team, which focused on the psychosocial aspects of digital platform work. I am also involved in research and development projects that bridge academic research and organizational practice.
I have served as a mentor in several editions of the University of Lodz Rector’s programme “Talented Student – Excellent University Student” ( Zdolny uczeń – świetny student ).
