The programme is intended for corresponding authors affiliated with institutions participating in the ACS consortium. The programme covers 92 journals published by ACS [journal list PDF, 50 kB], including 72 hybrid journals and 20 fully open access journals.
The programme covers articles accepted for publication in 2026.
Articles published under the subscription model in ACS hybrid journals in 2026 before the launch of the programme may be converted to the open access model within the programme (“retroactive conversion”). Retroactive conversion does not apply to open access articles that were published in ACS hybrid or open access journals in 2026 before the launch of the programme at the authors’ expense.
Authors who would like to take advantage of retroactive conversion but do not receive such an offer by 25 June may contact the programme coordinator at ICM at: b.kleyny@icm.edu.pl.
Detailed information about the ACS Open Access Publishing Programme is available on the Virtual Library of Science website.
Current updates on open access publishing programmes, prepared by the team of the University of Lodz Library, can be found in the UniLodz Employee Knowledge Base, in the “Open science” tab (after logging in).
