Darmasiswa is a scholarship programme intended for students from countries which Indonesia has diplomatic relations with. The candidate must be at least 18 years of age: the upper limit is 32. Additionally, knowledge of English, confirmed by a certificate (TOEFL/TOEIC/ELTS or other), is equally important.

Darmasiswa is a one year non-degree scholarship programme offered by the Indonesian government to all non-Indonesian citizens from countries which Indonesia has diplomatic relations with to study Indonesian language, arts, music, crafts and other specific subjects selected in various cities in Indonesia.
- Awardees will be provided with accommodation and transportation during the Orientation (if their time of arrival aligns with the schedule provided by the MoECRT).
- Over 72 Higher Education Institutions to choose from.
- Receival of living allowance, book allowance (one-off) and settlement allowance (one-off).
