The team, led by Dr Anna Wierzbicka – Director of the Department of Ecology and Climate at the City of Lodz Office – is to develop recommendations, procedures and proposals regarding the presence of wild, exotic and invasive animal species in urban spaces. The work, among other things, includes:
- analysing the causes and effects of wild animal expansion in urban areas,
- developing possible solutions to limit their presence – particularly in relation to wild boars,
- creating procedures for dealing with alien and invasive species,
- formulating conclusions and recommendations for the local, regional and national levels.
