Success of the University of Lodz at the Polish Judo Kata Championships

For the University of Lodz this year’s Polish Judo Kata Championships in Radom finished with great success. The University representatives – Leszek Piąstka i Anna Jagiełło – won gold medals and titles of Champions of Poland in two katas: Kodokan Goshin Jutsu oraz Kime no Kata. The players work on a daily basis at the University of Lodz Physical Education and Sports Centre and belong to the Academic Sports Club of the University of Lodz.

These are not the first such achievements of Leszek Piąstka and Anna Jagiełło. This year’s winners have received the titles of Champions of Poland for the sixth time in a row in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu competition. The start in Kime no Kata has been their very successful debut.

The Championships in Radom were for the University of Lodz representatives the last test before Kata European Judo Championships, which will be held on July 3-4 this year. in Józefów near Warsaw. Leszek Piątka and Anna Jagiełło will fight for the podium in the Kodokan Goshin Jutsu category.
