The organisation's goal is to encourage tourists, conference organisers and various event organisers to choose Lodz as an attractive destination for tourism, science, education and business. Within the Łódź Tourism Organization network, accommodation facilities, tourist attractions, restaurants, guides and tourist associations, as well as museums and theatres, cooperate closely. The Lodz Tourist Information Centre serves as the main point of information about Lodz’s tourist offerings within the ŁOT structure.
Why have we joined the Łódź Tourism Organization? We are a diverse community, boldly and respectfully educating and shaping the next generation. In matters of science and culture, we have much to offer to both the local and global communities. Moreover, at UniLodz, we return to what is most important to us: community, dialogue and cooperation – a people-centred approach. As a university, we want to be a part of our local reality, conducting research with and for people who visit our city for tourism or business.
The University of Lodz has attractive halls, rooms and recreational areas that can be used (in the form of commercial rental) by companies, associations and institutions carrying out activities for tourists or guides.
The historic Biedermann’s Palace, built between 1910 and 1912, holds a special place in the University of Lodz's collection. Located in a park, this impressive building, built by a manufacturer from Lodz, draws its style from the classicising palaces of the late 18th century.
The palace is ideal for hosting chamber concerts, conferences and other events appropriate to the venue's nature – says Katarzyna Urbaniak, Head of the University of Lodz Centre for Organising Cultural Events and Conferences and she adds: The palace has historic rooms, including Biedermann's study, dining room, drawing room, and rooms dedicated to the history of the palace-park complex and the Biedermann family, which are open to visitors, including tourists.
Moreover, thanks to our cooperation with the Łódź Tourism Organization, we are reaching out to new audiences, which we hope will expand our circle of partners and friends. Information about the most interesting events organised by the University of Lodz will become a permanent feature on the Łódź Tourism Organization website.
