An information board on the protection of the white-tailed eagle and the wall mural itself, which was created in cooperation with the University of Lodz Faculty of Geographical Sciences, Regionalna Dyrekcja Lasów Państwowych w Łodzi [Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Lodz] and Komitet Ochrony Orłów [Eagle Conservation Committee], were unveiled on Tuesday, 1 October of the current year, in the presence of the university employees and the management of the above mentioned organisations. This is yet another wall mural in the space of Lodz and another large-format graphic on the building of the University of Lodz.

Let this white-tailed eagle with spread wings be a symbol of students who can spread their wings under your wings

– said Director Jacek Chudy from the Regional Directorate of the State Forests in Lodz to the scientists from the faculty thanking them for their cooperation in implementing the project

The mural was authored and created by Maciej Bielewicz, a graduate of the Strzemiński Academy of Fine Arts, the author of many large-format paintings in Lodz, including the black stork wall mural at Orla 3 (also created in cooperation with the University of Lodz – the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection). The design and implementation of the mural were financed entirely by the State Forests.
