TASKS DESCRIPTION
Project Support Center (Polish: Centrum Wsparcia Projektów - CWP) implements the University of Lodz Strategy 2021-2030 by supporting its scientists in conducting high-quality research. It brings together the knowledge and expertise developed at the university over the years and passes it to researchers at every stage of their careers. T hus, it helps them to be successful in obtaining and implementing internal and external grants.
Project Support Center activities include:
- Preparing applications
- Coordinating issues (support for the projects implemented independently by the units of the University of Lodz) related to the preparation of proposals for research/scholarship/internship/externship/implementation/application projects financed from national and foreign sources.
- Coordinating issues (support for the projects implemented independently by the units of the University of Lodz) related to the preparation of the contract for the project implementation.
- Coordinating issues (support for the projects implemented independently by the units of the University of Lodz) related to project management (including financial management)
- Coordinating issues related to applications for awards and prizes for scientific achievements
- Establishing cooperation
- Promotion and information activities
- Coordinating issues (support for the projects implemented independently by the units of the University of Lodz) related to the preparation of proposals for research/scholarship/internship/externship/implementation/application projects financed from national and foreign sources.

The University of Lodz actively raises funds for projects, including those funded by European Union Programmes. We carry out research and scientific-research projects independently as well as in large project consortia. Our scientists actively cooperate with other leading scientific and research institutions in Poland and abroad, as well as with institutions from the scientific community. Within the framework of consortia, focused around relevant research topics, we create innovative solutions that are relevant to modern society. Project Support Centre actively supports researchers in the application process for international and national projects. The Project Support Center supports UL researchers in obtaining grants and handling them . In addition, for those who have an idea for themselves and who have thought over their personal research career strategies, it offers the development of an individual career path – comprehensive advice on which sources of funding a researcher can use to realise their scientific plans. Open Science – The University of Lodz has not yet adopted an openness policy understood as a document governing the open sharing of the results of research conducted by the entity. However, the university authorities have initiated a number of measures to introduce good practices related to openness of research and teaching. The Announcement of the Rector of the University of Lodz of 28 April 2020 on the implementation of the open access policy at the University of Lodz by enabling its employees, doctoral students and students to deposit their work in an institutional repository , in accordance with the recommendations of the Ministry of Education and Science (then the Ministry of Science and Higher Education) was introduced. Scopus and Web of Science databases – a guide
A key factor in increasing the visibility and dissemination of scientific achievements is the correct identification of the author in international databases – Scopus and Web of Science. The guide has been prepared with researchers from the University of Lodz in mind . It presents actions to be taken to verify author profiles and contains guidelines on the proper self-identification of scientific output dispersed across scientific databases, repositories and publisher sites. The issues addressed in the guide make it easier to keep an eye on one's own output, explain the idea of introducing unique identifiers into scientific circulation and indicate the criteria for selecting journals for one's own scientific development plans. In the University of Lodz LEX Legal Acts Database you will find basic and continuously updated legal acts related to the functioning of the University of Lodz.
