I am a researcher at the Department of Ecology and Vertebrate Zoology, Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, University of Lodz.
My scientific interests focus on freshwater ecology, with particular emphasis on the evolutionary dynamics of aquatic species, interactions with invasive species, and biodiversity conservation. I study coevolutionary processes, especially the ecological role of freshwater mussels, and the impact of anthropogenic changes on aquatic ecosystems. My research also includes analysing the effects of environmental stressors, such as salinisation and plastic pollution, on aquatic communities. Additionally, I am involved in developing environmental monitoring methods and the conservation of threatened taxa, such as freshwater bivalves from the Sphaeriidae family.
I also supervise the Student Scientific Association of Animal Ecology.
