Recruitment
We invite students/doctoral students of the University of Lodz to participate in the recruitment for partial study mobility (for winter and summer semester 2025/2026) under the Erasmus+ programme! Detailed recruitment rules can be found the in the following file: recruitment rules Erasmus 2025-26
In the first stage of recruitment you have to submit an application in USOSweb system. Recruitment will be open from 27.01.2025 at 13:00 until 03.03.2025 at 13:00. If you are not sure how to apply, use the materials we have prepared: Erasmus application in USOSweb (first stage).
The second stage will take place at your Faculty from 03.03.2025 to 13.03.2025.
Detailed information regarding the second stage can be obtained from the coordinator or alternatively will be posted on the UL faculty website.

After being selected
If you were nominated for the Erasmus+/Education student mobility for studies for the academic year 2025/26, and you have not received or not receive any email from the host university please check information about the deadline and required procedure on the webpage of the host university dedicated for incoming exchange students and start preparing the proper documents. Depending on the total number of incoming students, the beginning date of the academic year 2025/26 at the host university, the mobility period, application deadlines may be different in each university (usually between April and July for student mobility starting in the autumn/winter semester).
The incoming students are usually asked to send below documents:
- Application form
- Learning Agreement for Studies ("Before the mobility"); via USOSewb if the host institution is ready to approve the LA digitally via EWP. Or: many universities have their own template of the LAS.
- Student Transcript of Records, which you may get from your home Dean’s office. It should be signed by the Dean or the Dean’s office staff.
- Confirmation of language competences. It can be a scan of official language certificate, confirmation issued by the language teacher.
- Copy of medical insurance.
- Copy of your ID document or passport.
- Cover letter or motivation letter.
- Other documents required by your host university.
A welcome e-mail from the host university is not equivalent to the acceptance/admission letter, which usually is sent after verification of documents sent by the incoming student.

The International Centre of the UL may issue the nomination letter for an outgoing UL student, if the host university requires it or it is necessary to legalise your stay in the host country.
We kindly remind you that non-EU citizens are obliged to inquire at the respective embassies/ consulates of the countries they are nominated to about visa procedures for students nominated for semestral / full-year studies.

If the host university is not ready to approve the LA online, then it is acceptable to complete the document of the paper version. In order for the document to be valid it must be approved by 3 sides: the student of the UŁ, the Coordinator of the foreign university, the ECTS faculty coordinator from the UŁ. Please fill out the document on the computer (not by hand).
NOTE - Even if the university requires you to complete the LAS on the OLA platform then don't do it - complete the LAS in USOSweb.

The Center for Languages and Certification of the University of Lodz (CJIC), responding to the needs of students qualified for international exchange under the Erasmus+ program, offers the possibility of obtaining a certificate confirming foreign language proficiency. This document may be issued based on the completion of a language course that ended with a program exam.
How to Request a Certificate
To obtain the certificate, please send an email to: cjic@uni.lodz.pl, including the following information:
- Full name
- Email address
- Student ID number
- Faculty and field of study
- Year of study
- Information on whether the program exam has already been passed
Certificate Issuance Procedure
- If the program exam has been passed – the certificate will be issued immediately, with no further action required.
- If the language course is still ongoing – the student should contact their instructor to request an assessment of their language level. The instructor will send this information directly to CJIC at the email address provided.
Additional Options for Students
For students who:
- Have been qualified for exchange but have not yet started their language course,
- Or whose exchange requires proficiency in a different language than the one covered by their course,
CJIC organizes a language exam twice per academic year (in November and May) in cooperation with the International Relations Office (IRO). The exam assesses the language skills necessary for functioning in an academic environment abroad.
Exam Structure
Written part (duration: 1.5 hours):
- Listening comprehension – 20 points
- Reading comprehension – 20 points
- Writing – 20 points
- Grammar and vocabulary – 20 points
Oral part (duration: approx. 10 minutes): A conversation about interests, studies, plans related to the exchange, and intercultural topics. The oral exam is usually conducted in pairs. – 20 points
- Maximum score: 100 points
- Passing score: minimum 55 points
- Students may take the exam once per academic year

How to Register for the Exam
To register, send an email to the appropriate coordinator, including:
- Full name
- Email address
- Student ID number
- Faculty and field of study
- Year and level of study
- Language of the exam
- Required language proficiency level (e.g., B2)
Before mobility - agreement

It is an internal document of the UL to complete by the student providing that the home Faculty of the student requires it: Annex to LA
Admission letter/email from the host university with precise start and end dates (dd/mm/yy) of student mobility semester abroad.
Proof of medical insurance policy valid for the period of trip and stay at the host institution, as well as the travel back to the home institution’s country – a copy of
European Health Insurance Card
If you have any problems getting an EHIC card, we can provide you with a certificate to the National Health Service to obtain the card: Certificate for EHIC. Please send the document to a staff member at IC UL with your name, surname, country and name of the host university, as well as the planned dates of travel to and from the foreign university, taking into account the start and end dates of mobility abroad.

Confirmation of student status at the University of Lodz in the semester of the mobility abroad in 2025/2026 academic year (issued by the Dean’s office).
Please email your faculty Dean’s office to apply for it. In case that you are only able to receive the 2024/25 confirmation, it should contain a note that you have completed the 2024/25 winter and summer exam session.
Students of Year 1 second-cycle (Master’s) programme, may only be able to sign the financial agreement after 1 October 2025 after having obtained the UL student status (any period of mobility abroad before 1 October shall not be financed).
- A foreign currency (EUR) account is required.
- The scholarship is paid in EUR currency.
- The student must be the owner of the account.
Every outgoing student must fill out a scholarship transfer order (paper version) and send it to IC with a set of documents for signing the mobility agreement.
Every student going abroad for Erasmus+ studies is entitled to a lump sum to cover travel costs. The amount of the lump sum depends on the distance between the city of the sending university and the city of the host university and the chosen means of transport (in accordance with the financial rules and the distance calculator developed by the European Commission).
Every outgoing student is required to fill out a declaration of the chosen means of transport and send it to the International Centre (IC) along with the complete set of documents for signing the agreement. Based on the declaration, the lump sum amount for a round trip will be calculated. This lump sum will be included in the agreement as part of the total funding.
- Social scholarship certificate: certificate issued by the Student Service Centre of the UL on receiving a UL social scholarship in the summer semester 2024/25, if applicable. This is only applicable to students who marked the “2024/25 summer semester social benefit” field during qualification stage at the USOSweb platform.
- Valid disability degree certificate (Certified True Copy) – only applicable to students with certified disability.
- Support for students and PhD students with a child up to 8 years of age: a person qualified for the mobility may receive additional financial support in the amount of EUR 250 per month. The condition for obtaining support is to present the child's birth certificate, at the latest when signing the financial agreement.
- Support for persons with the right to asylum or refugee status in Poland. A student or PhD student who has the right to asylum or refugee status in Poland may also receive additional support in the amount of EUR 250 per month. At the time of signing the agreement, it is required to submit a document confirming this status issued by the Office for Foreigners.
ATTENTION! Additional support for: disability, receiving a social scholarship, caring for a child up to 8 years of age or having refugee status, does not accumulate. A student can receive only one type of additional allowance of EUR 250/month, depending on the criteria met.
The OLS language proficiency test is not mandatory.
Students who wish to check their language proficiency level (e.g. English Placement Test) or take online language courses before and during their stay abroad may do so. To do so, create an account at EU Login: academy.europa.eu/.

Extension of study mobility
Rules for extending study mobility for the summer semester 2025/2026 can be found here: rules.
For students: prelimiary request for extension - a signed document needs to be submitted via e-mail by 10 December 2025.
For coordinators: consent for extension of study mobility signed by the coordinator after the verification of documents submitted by a student by 29 March 2026.
Upon return
Each participating student undertakes that, after return from the Erasmus+ mobility, he/she submits documents to the International Centre UL (Centrum Umiędzynarodowienia UŁ) that confirm the programme carried out at the institution abroad, to the stipulated deadline.
The UL student should submit the required documents to the IRO (mgr Beata Kamińska or mgr Dorota Jachimek) up to max. 2 months since the day the student finishes the mobility at the host institution. Please send the documents by email.
Document from the host institution (Confirmation). The date of issue of the confirmation has to be equal to the ending date of the mobility period, or later. This means that the document cannot be issued earlier than the ending date of your mobility.
If your stay will be shorter than 135 days (the period for which the 1st instalment has been paid) you will have to return part of your scholarship. If the mobility will be longer than 135 days, you will get 2nd instalment. The maximum financing period is 150 days.
Note: the minimum period of your study abroad is 2 months (which equals 60 days). If you stay shorter than the minimum, this means you need to repay your full grant amount.
If you want to check the length of your study mobility period abroad, please use "HE grant calculation". This tool is used to calculate the mobility period in accordance with “mobility capital” for Erasmus+ mobility.
Transcript of Records (universities usually use their own forms) with a note from the Faculty/ECTS coordinator of the UL about how many ECTS credits the student has earned and whether the student is thus credited for the stay abroad (can be a copy).
A copy of the document should be emailed to IRO UL, after the settlement of learning outcomes abroad at the Faculty has been obtained from the ECTS coordinator.
Learning Agreement for Studies, During Part - if changes were made; signed by the student, the Faculty Coordinator and the responsible person from the Host University. If you have done the LAS in USOS, upload the downloaded and approved document from the system.

A copy of the document should sent by e-mail to the IRO UL staff member: mgr Dorota Jachimek or mgr Beata Kamińska.
Individual online report for the European Commission (the EU Survey) – every UL Student participating in the Erasmus+ mobility will be invited via e-mail to complete the final report, to which the link is provided in the message.
The task is to fill out the questionnaire and send it online. The invitation message is sent after the final day of your mobility and submiting the certificate of stay to the IRO UL. Check the message for the link to the survey, it starts with: ec.europa.eu/eusurvey/.
After 2 or 3 days after your submission of the report at the EUSurvey platform, the IRO (BWZ) of the University of Lodz will gain access to your survey.
A student of the University of Lodz (UL) who has completed a mobility programme is required to fill out a declaration regarding the travel dates to/from the host institution/university and the means of transport used for the journey.
The completed and signed declaration must be sent by the student to a staff member of the International Centre – mgr Dorota Jachimek or mgr Beata Kamińska.
In the case of travel using a low-emission means of transport, such as a bus or train, the student must also send the tickets for the journey to/from the host university city.
Coordinators
Faculty-level Mobility and ECTS Coordinators at the University of Lodz are responsible for outgoing UL students. They can assist you with the following tasks:
- ECTS Coordinator is the person with whom you agree on LAS/LAT (Learning Agreement for Studies/Traineeships) before your mobility and - if necessary - during mobility (changes in the document). Upon return, ECTS Coordinator confirms that your mobility semester is approved.
