Professorial Nominations at UniLodz in the Academic Year 2025/2026

In the academic year 2025/2026, the title of Professor was conferred on 17 researchers affiliated with the University of Lodz. The largest number of nominations went to the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection, with four academics receiving the title, while three nominations each were awarded to scholars from the Faculty of Chemistry and the Faculty of International and Political Studies.

The title of Professor is one of the most significant milestones in an academic career. It confirms an outstanding scholarly record, consistently developed research and a substantial contribution to the advancement of a given discipline. Uzyskiwanie tytułu profesora

Pursuant to the provisions of the Act on Higher Education and Science, the title of Professor may be conferred, among others, on a person holding the degree of doktor habilitowany (dr hab.), with outstanding national or international scientific achievements and experience related to conducting research projects, research internships or research activities at scientific institutions.  In exceptional cases, justified by the highest quality of achievements, a person holding a doctoral degree may also apply for the title.
