Stearyna na świece okopowe – pierwszy transport z UŁ

More than half a tonne of stearin for trench candles purchased with funds raised by the University of Lodz community has already made its way to the Ukrainian front. The collection is coordinated by Professor Magdalena Błażewicz from the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection of the University of Lodz. You can still provide help together with the professor's team, including financial support and donating food. The details can be found below.

Roses for candles

As a thank you, we have received a bouquet of roses (...) It is probably the best expression of emotion and gratitude of people who received the stearin from us.

The materials collection has been underway since the second half of January, and a fantastic result was achieved in a short time, but...

You can still help!

The needs of the Ukrainian front are enormous, so the organisers will continue the 'Stearin for Ukraine' campaign until at least mid-February. In addition, they are also extending it to the collection of long-life food. There will be a cardboard box displayed in the hall of building A of the Faculty of Biology and Environmental Protection (Banacha 12/16) where food can be placed.

There is also the possibility of providing direct financial support for people from Ukraine. The contact person is also Prof. Magdalena Błażewicz: magdalena.blazewicz@biol.uni.lodz.pl.

We would like to thank you all for your help so far!
