Research stays funded under this edition of the programme must take place between 1 January and 30 September 2027.

UniLodz Impact enables researchers to undertake research stays lasting from 6 to 12 weeks at universities ranked among the world’s top 300 in one of the following international rankings:

• QS World University Rankings;
• Times Higher Education World University Rankings;
• Academic Ranking of World Universities, commonly known as the Shanghai Ranking.

Research stays are funded by the University of Lodz. The programme supports the exchange of knowledge and good practice, contributes to improving the quality of research and strengthens the international presence of UniLodz.

Participation in the UniLodz Impact provides an opportunity to:

• develop research competences and advance an academic career;
• gain experience at a leading international academic institution;
• establish and strengthen international research partnerships;
• prepare joint research projects and grant applications;
• transfer knowledge, experience and good practices to UniLodz;
• contribute to improving the quality of research and further development of the university.

Applications will be assessed by the competition committee based on:

• the reputation of the selected host institution, as reflected in the international university rankings;
• the academic achievements of the supervisor at the host institution;
• the justification for the research stay, including its objectives, implementation plan, expected impact on the applicant’s academic career and potential benefits for the University of Lodz.

Number of Grants

A maximum of three grants will be awarded in this edition of the competition – one in each of the following fields:

• humanities;
• social sciences;
• exact sciences.

Applications must be submitted using the online MS Forms application form. Scans of all required documents and supporting evidence must be attached to the form.
