In the field of sociology, the Ludwik Krzywicki Award was presented to Dr Piotr Szenajch for his publication "Odczarowanie talentu. Socjografia stawania się uznanym artystą" [Disenchantment of Talent. The Sociography of Becoming a Recognized Artist]. The Committee for this Award honoured dr hab. Agnieszka Golczyńska-Grondas, Associate Professor at the University of Lodz, and Dr Małgorzata Potoczna for their monograph "Archipelagi wielkomiejskiej biedy. Historia, metodologia, podstawowe ustalenia łódzkiego ośrodka badań nad ubóstwem" [Archipelagos of Metropolitan Poverty. History, Methodology, and Basic Findings of the Łódź Center for Poverty Research].
In the field of economics, the Fryderyk Skarbek Prize was awarded to Dr Damian Bębnowski for his publication "The Importance of Constitutional Rules and Property Rights: The German Economy in 1990–2015".
The awards confirm the high level of research conducted at the faculty and the significant contribution of its scientists to the development of social sciences.
