Predatory Journals. How to Avoid Untrustworthy Publishers?

There is a tab devoted to predatory journals in the UL Employee Knowledge Database (Employee Service). The guidelines prepared by the University of Lodz Library staff will help authors, among other things, choose reliable and proven publishers.

Opublikowano: 10 January 2023

Predatory publishing is an umbrella term that encompasses those publishers who engage in unfair practices towards authors and their texts, such as offering extortionate publication fees for open access journals, publishing articles/books that have not been submitted for peer review, have been negatively reviewed or do not meet scientific criteria.

If you have any questions about predatory scientific practices or specific journal titles, please contact the Reference and Bibliometric Analysis Department, University of Lodz Library at
openaccess@lib.uni.lodz.pl

The Reference and Bibliometric Analysis Department prepares analyses of indicated journals to detect possible unfair publication practices.
