RiEcoLab z Wydziału Zarządzania UŁ na warsztatach EIT w Pradze

The core team of RiEcoLab, a project implemented at the University of Lodz by the Faculty of Management, took part in the workshop of the European Institute of Innovation and Technology HEI Initiative 2023 Innovation Vision Action Plan (IVAP), which was held on 31 May and 1 June in Prague.

The project leader Dr hab. Tomasz Bartosz Kalinowski from the Department of Logistics at the Faculty of Logistics of the University of Lodz, together with Professor Agnieszka Kurczewska, the University of Lodz Vice-Rector for External Relations and Professor Levent Kandiler (Vice-Rector of Yaşar University in Turkey), presented the results of the RiEcoLab project and discussed how to involve members of the university's top management in the success of the implemented projects. This involvement is crucial for the project's results, the sustainability of its effects and the transfer of the developed solutions to a higher – strategic level.

The leadership project I manage is one of nearly seventy projects funded under the prestigious EU pilot programme HEI EIT Initiative, which supports universities in building innovative and entrepreneurial potential. Research units participating in the programme are to become the motor engine of the innovation ecosystem in the EU by 2027

During the workshop in Prague, the RiEcoLab team members also discussed the so-called "deep technologies" as an innovative approach to innovation. Deep tech innovations are indispensable in accelerating the green and digital transformation, addressing the most pressing global challenges, such as climate change, sustainable energy and health.
