The NAFSA Conference is the largest international event in the field of internationalisation of higher education, which is held annually in the USA. This year's conference was attended by over 8,000 specialists in mobility, recruitment and broadly understood international cooperation from over a hundred countries. The conference's motto is Purpose, Place, Partnership. It addresses, among other things, topics related to education in the context of recent events in American politics, the impact of geopolitics on trends in education and education in the context of educating migrants and many others.
The NAFSA conference was also an opportunity to participate in sessions, workshops, discussion panels, as well as to be on duty at the Polish stand organised annually by the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange during the educational fair accompanying the conference.
Participation in the event allows you to gain valuable knowledge about the latest trends and innovations in higher education, establish new contacts with partners, as well as strengthen existing relationships and promote the university's offer in the international arena. The event was also an opportunity to meet with representatives of UNIC Alliance partner universities.
The participation of the University of Lodz employees in the conference was possible thanks to funding obtained by the International Hub from the NAWA Welcome to Poland programme, the PATHWAYS project – Empowering Staff and International Researchers through Networking and Training.
