The aim of the Centre is to develop and exchange knowledge, experience, research results and to promote and conduct studies on new trends, dynamics of change and the level of activity of various types of organisations for the realisation of Sustainable Development in economic, environmental and social aspects.

The Centre also undertakes a number of activities aimed at implementing and promoting the idea of Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility at the Faculty of Management and the whole University of Łódź.

The specific objectives of the Centre include:

• scientific and research activity in the field of Sustainable Development in various types of organisations and dissemination of its results at home and abroad,
• cooperation with other universities, organisations and departments inside and outside the Faculty and the University of Łódź
• shaping competences related to issues and tools of Sustainable Development in business and in life outside work,
• organisation of conferences, seminars, dissemination and popularisation of knowledge and good practices regarding Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility,
• promotion of the Faculty of Management and the University of Łódź as socially responsible partners.

In order to achieve its objectives, the Centre undertakes specific activities:

• scientific and research, e.g. research projects, scientific publications, participation in scientific conferences, author's lectures, organisation of scientific and professional events,
• integrative, in particular the exchange of experiences and sharing of knowledge in the academic and socio-economic environment,
• promotional, in particular the presentation of good practices of actions for Sustainable Development and Corporate Social Responsibility. the organisation of debates and seminars and the production of specialised reports,
• educational, through the dissemination of actions, knowledge and practice for Sustainable Development.
