At the University of Lodz, we treat doctoral and habilitation promotions as individual achievements, but also as a celebration of the entire academic community, which is committed to supporting the advancement of science. Hence the solemn nature of the ceremony and the ceremonial attire of the laureates, their supervisors and the members of the Rector's Board.
