About us
We are responsible for the maintenance and development of the UniLodz IT ecosystem.
The IT Centre is currently made up of around 50 people with a wide range of competencies. These range from hardware maintenance technicians, user support (Helpdesk team), telecommunications specialists, network and infrastructure administrators, database specialists and programmers.
We maintain a central network, server and telecommunications infrastructure and a number of smaller and larger interconnected IT systems. We implement new systems, develop our own products and respond to failures.
The Centre's management is also responsible for supporting strategic decision-making in the area of IT by university authorities.
Main areas of the Centre’s tasks:
- Ensuring high availability and performance of the entire central ICT infrastructure (server administration, maintenance of the backbone network, maintenance of the network in central administration buildings and the student campus)
- Administration of central IT services

- Supporting the process of purchasing IT infrastructure, computer equipment and accessories, and IT systems (developing Terms of Reference for IT tenders)

We are constantly creating new products and developing existing ones. Currently, we are working on, among others: a project management module in PP, new electronic documents, a mobile application for students, a mobile application for employees, and the implementation of the Achievement Record System.
