The Department’s scholars explore Old Polish literature from the Middle Ages to the Enlightenment, along with scholarly editing. The team’s interests also extend to modernist literature, the interwar period, and the early post-war years. Research on post-Enlightenment authors is primarily conducted by scholars focusing on 19th- and 20th-century textual criticism. Additionally, the Department investigates the role of literature, literary studies, and related disciplines in the Internet (within the scope of auxiliary sciences).
The Department offers professional specializations in Editing of literary and non-literary texts and Computer Graphics.
