At UniLodz people come first. We are an open and diverse academic community where different perspectives meet, ideas develop through dialogue and knowledge helps us better understand and shape the world around us.
Whether you want to study, conduct research, teach or simply create something together with us, UniLodz is a place for you.
Scientific discoveries, international projects, people worth getting to know, events and opportunities to get involved in a wide range of initiatives. See what our community is engaged in today, both in Lodz and beyond.

The most important questions do not care about national borders. Research should not either.
At UniLodz, researchers representing different disciplines and countries work together to understand the changes that affect our lives, from climate, health and technology to society, the economy, culture and human behaviour.
We strive to ensure that our knowledge reaches beyond academia so that everyone can benefit from it.
Moving to another country is exciting, but it also involves many questions. Where do I start? What documents do I need? How does the university work? Where can I ask for help?
You do not have to find all the answers on your own.
Welcome Point supports international students and researchers who are beginning their journey at UniLodz. We help with practical and administrative matters, settling into life in Lodz and navigating everyday university life. And if an issue requires more dedicated support, we make sure the right person takes care of it.

The best ideas emerge where different perspectives meet. That is why we build long-term relationships with universities, research institutions, cities, businesses and organisations from around the world.
International cooperation creates opportunities for joint research, education, mobility and knowledge exchange. By bringing together our experience and expertise, we develop solutions that none of the partners could achieve alone.
We understand partnership as something broader than signed agreements and statistics. We always strive to make it a connection between people, different ways of thinking and diverse experiences.
There are many ways to join UniLodz.
You can begin your first degree here, continue your education at MA level, develop your own research within our Doctoral Schools, come on an exchange programme or start by learning Polish.
Our wide range of study programmes allows you to build your own path according to your interests, goals and aspirations.
Studying abroad, however, is about more than choosing a study programme. We help you through the admissions process, prepare you for your arrival and provide the support you need once you are here.
We also support international families moving to Lodz. The British International School of the University of Lodz offers education in English for children aged 3–19, from preschool to the IB Diploma Programme.

Values matter when they influence everyday decisions.
That is why we strive to be a university that is courageous, responsible and open: a place where people can freely conduct research, develop professionally, study on equal terms and cooperate across borders.
Our commitments are reflected in standards, strategies and long-term programmes.
A City That Gives Space for New Ideas and a Place to Call Your Own
Łódź is a city where you can reinvent yourself.
Its history reflects this: former factories have become spaces for culture, work, creativity and social interaction. Film, design, music, new technologies and business thrive alongside traces of the city's industrial and multicultural heritage.
For students and researchers, Łódź offers another important advantage: it provides the energy of a major city without an overwhelming scale. It is relatively affordable, easy to navigate and full of places that quickly begin to feel like home.
It is also one of Poland's leading academic centres, a city shaped every day by people who come here to study, work, conduct research and create, and who often choose to stay for longer.

Everyone who comes to UniLodz brings a different story, experience and perspective on the world. That is precisely why the ability to coexist and learn from one another is so important.
International students, researchers and staff bring new questions to classrooms, laboratories and everyday conversations. In return, they gain insights into perspectives they may never have encountered before.
UniLodz feels like my second home – a safe and welcoming place where I feel free to take initiative, explore new ideas, and grow both professionally and personally.
In short, #UniLodz is a place where research meets opportunity, creativity, and growth.
I always felt that I was a stranger wherever I went, but here I am a part of my university.

Our community is made up of people from different countries, cultures, generations, backgrounds and life experiences. However, we understand diversity as something broader than internationalisation alone.
We want everyone to be able to study, work, speak up and participate in university life on equal terms. That is why we continue to improve accessibility, counter discrimination, support people with specific needs and foster a culture based on respect.
We develop systemic solutions, while never losing sight of individual people and their experiences. For us, openness is not a one-time declaration. It is a way of acting that must be practised every day.
