BioMedChem Doctoral School of University of Lodz and Lodz Institutes of the Polish Academy of Sciences

Please ensure ongoing data entry into ScienceON system

Dear all,

Please note that, in accordance with the Regulations of the Bio-Med-Chem Doctoral School (§7(1a)), all doctoral students are required to document their scientific work, research activities, and professional activity by entering their achievements into the ScienceOn (SON) system.

According to the Regulations:

“In order to document scientific work, research activities and professional activity reported in the doctoral student’s evaluation form and report referred to in §7(1)(1) and (3), the doctoral student shall submit printouts from the university’s internal reporting systems confirming the student’s achievements, verified by designated persons.”

From 1 October 2025, all doctoral students are required to regularly enter their achievements into the ScienceOn system.

This is particularly important because starting with the 2025/2026 academic year (evaluated in September), paper printouts of achievements will no longer be accepted.

On 15 September 2026 (5 September 2026 for second-year doctoral students), each doctoral student will be evaluated solely on the basis of a printout generated from the SON system, including only the achievements that have been entered into the system. Therefore, keeping your record in the system complete and up to date is necessary for the annual evaluation.

The University of Lodz Library will soon launch a new consultation channel: ScienceON – Ask the Assistant!

This initiative is intended to create a communication channel for the University of Lodz community, especially academic staff and doctoral students. The meetings will be run by staff members of the University of Lodz Library and will provide an opportunity to ask general questions about the ScienceOn system.

Questions about how the system works should be submitted through the ITManager Helpdesk.
